False Prophets Don’t Testify

What is a False Prophets?

“The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed himself with his face to the earth and said, “My lords, please turn aside to your servant’s house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, “No; we will spend the night in the town square.” But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them.” (Genesis 19:1-4 KJV)

Genuine prophets are great testimony-givers. They are the number one fans of the Lord. They testify what Christ has done in their lives. They are inspired to share the miracles they’ve encountered upon knowing Christ. When you encounter a prophet who never testify of the Lord, then better draw yourself away from this man. He is not a man of God, for he should be a great testifier of His wonders.

When you have been forgiven from your sins, what do you normally do? Of course, you give thanks and share the peace of God. What do you do when you receive a miracle? Say, a family was saved after praying to God for healing. Definitely, you testify to other people of His goodness.

True prophets are witnesses of the Lord’s goodness. The prophet Isaiah looked into heaven while standing on earth. He cried out, “Woe is me, I am ruined! I am a man of unclean speech and my eyes have beheld the King, the Lord of hosts.” That moment, he received forgiveness from the Lord and his life was touched by God’s love.

Being a witness is done when you learn to call on the Lord. Ask Him for help. Ask Him for wisdom. God is able, He will never fail you. God is pleased when we ask Him for everything. He wants you to surrender to His will. His love and mercy is readily available to those who call upon His name.

We need to observe God, and follow what He is doing. Let us stand as eyewitnesses of God’s power and divinity. Our aim is to testify God’s works and establish God’s power to people. We should bring forth His vision.  Though it is not just a speaking of prophecy, we too can be witnesses who see and hear all majestic things from our creator. Let’s give testimony and show the power of God in our lives.

Do you testify of God’s greatness? Do you have that desire to see His power in your life today? Begin by sharing a marvelous testimony with other people – how you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior.
