Faith Moves Mountains
To what extent do we need to have faith? Faith is the most basic of all the Christlike attributes that one must first achieve as a believer and one must continue to develop. Miracles happen because of faith. The pattern is this: first, people must have faith in order to receive. There are series of occurrences in the Bible that prove this is the actual pattern of miracles. There is a full chapter on that in Hebrews 11.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11: 4-5)
That is only the beginning of the chapter as it continues to describe how other great prophets were able to experience mighty miracles like Moses and Noah. Even disciples like Sarah, Moses’ parents, and simple people like Rahab received God’s blessing through their faith. Read the rest of Hebrews 11 to find out more.
The point is, no matter what your trials and circumstances in life are, faith precedes miracles. So start exercising the muscles of your faith and get ready for more blessings to come your way. God is good!
